The
training is essentially the same everywhere, with natural adaptations to the
language and culture of each country. Lectures, seminars, the preparation
of materials and curriculum texts, observations, and practice teaching are
all carried out under the direct supervision of the Center. Courses can be
pursued during a year or over several summers.
The
courses are international in character and actively seek students of all nations,
races, and creeds. For all courses, a good general education and adequate
knowledge of the language of the course are essential.
Advanced degrees in related fields are helpful, but in no way replace any
aspect of the training.
The
AMI diploma is universally recognized for the quality and authenticity of
the training given. But an AMI diploma does not automatically qualify the
holder to teach.
Many
countries and states have additional certification requirements which must
also be fulfilled. Contact with the local authorities is indispensable to
receive correct information on teaching requirements.
Course admission requirements vary from country to country.
